Nicholas Lou Saban (born October 31, 1951, in Fairmont, West Virginia) is an American college football coach and the current head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide. Saban took the Alabama position after coaching the Miami Dolphins for two years and previously coaching Alabama's SEC Western division rival, LSU. Saban's eight-year contract for a total of $32 million made him the highest paid college football coach in the United States at the time. Saban's career record as a collegiate head coach is 99-48-1.
