I have put together a conceptual plan to build a retirement commune. ( True I am heading towards the senior citizen bracket and this is an idea that is not entirely selfless) I am still putting together a working team or commitee or whatever such things are called to make this concept something of a benchmark. Ambitious yes. I am looking for ideas and suggestions from individuals and experts from all walks of life.

Well i would say have a community hall so that youngsters could have some of their performances in the hall where by the retirement village people could also have a social interaction with youngsters.
You could have a small library and have people donate their books which otherwise would be collecting dust for people to have a variety.
You could have a conference area where by businesses who want to have their team building exercises could book the place and in that way there is some kind of income to fund the place.
The people from this retirement community could hold a fair where people from the locality could be invited to buy stuff or view the talent that currently exist.
